A Comprehensive Performance Comparison between Segmental and Conventional Switched Reluctance Machines with Boost and Standard Converters

This paper presents the comparisons between two types of switched reluctance machines (SRMs) and SRM converters. An with a segmental rotor is compared conventional (CSRM), an converter containing passive boost circuit asymmetric half-bridge (AHB) converter. The has segmented structure. four segments are made steel laminations. Two misaligned other by 15 degrees. torque ripple this structure decreased, static increased to SRM. comprises front-end AHB boosts voltage level. boosted accelerates rising falling progress phase current.
